The Girls Become Fish!

It all started back in June....as soon as school ended. It happened very slowly in my minds eyes, but seemingly overnight everything changed. The girls turned into fish!

Mia absolutely loves the water now. And Elliot is way more comfortable than she ever was. Last summer the girls took 2 weeks of swim lessons and didn't learn nearly as much then as they did in only 5 lessons with Lenora Felker. She was amazing with the girls and I loved that she didn't let them skirt around the pool with excuses to not put their faces in the water (more so Elliot)! By the 4th lesson Mia was going totally under water to find diving rings.

They still swim with floaty vests - for my own comfort most of the time, but Mia was swimming at the Beach, in the Pond, and at the Lake House with out one.

While we were at Grandma's house in NY and even at our own house the girls have practiced in little pools breathing out their noses and counting under water or finding objects under water (more so Mia). But with the pool closed right now, we are anxious to get back in and really practice swimming together!

So little by little my girls may grow their legs back (during the winter months), but for now - they are fish and maybe soon will turn into mermaids! But it is all speculation at this point!
